COLORADO HIGH PARK FIRE UPDATE JUNE 13, 2012. Sky and land form there is EXTREMELY very dangerous situation. URGENT. 1+1='2a'

Location: Larimer County, Colorado; northwest of Fort Collins; southeast of Walden; Roosevelt National Forest; Red Feather Lakes; west of Livermore

June 13, 2012 update

Double the amount of acreage effected by the fire since Saturday; status at 9:30am EST June 13, 2012

Over 100 buildings destroyed

Residents have had to leave their houses, and evacuations appear to be continuing

The trend of the geagraphical spread of the fire, is it is expanding in area, like a circle becoming larger and larger

Problem that is being gravitated toward:
formations in the ground, are merging with formations in the sky
what kind of formations are these, and why are they here?:
one of the answers is, pertinent subtleties in ground formations, are previous storms and catastrophes over the years, such as flooding and hurricanes, when synthesized or run and compressed together, form a whole, an altogether effect.  There centralized as seen from the bird's eye view, is the geographic formations that sit directly beneath the location of the High Park fire.

the same situation may hold true in different dimensions of the Little Bear fire in new Mexico, where the formation that shows in the ground looks more menacing.  The photos shown by media of conditions in the sky caused by the fire, do not look as severe as those over High park.

Whether conditions at and over Little Bear, New Mexico are attempting to merge with conditions at and above High park, is yet to see.

Part of why containment is necessary, is that chemicals released from 2 or 3 separate geographic areas from 2 or 3 or more separate fires corresponding to each, when combined together, could result in chemical mixes that are deadly, and we are not ready to defend.

How to repair:  if the geographic formations are linked to processes which lead to hurricanes and flooding, then obviously what leads to flooding and hurricanes must be stopped.

It so happens that the area adjacent immediate northwest of Fort Collins area of Colorado is one of the places where the geographic formation spoken about above, wound up, and the area is taking the brunt of the wildfire catastrophe.

The straightforward things you need to know:

  • the wildfire is bad enough.  call this number 1a
  • what has been appearing in the skies above it, is bad; whether it is the result of the fire, or only looks like it is the result of the fire; call this 1b
  • the math is simple, 1 + 1 = 2
  • When 1a and 1b are combined together, you will get this '2'.
  • Whatever '2' is in this case, call it '2a', nobody wants this combination.

It might be recommendation, amongst many, to go ahead, get the fire under control. Now.

Wildfires Raging on June 11, 2012. Year-round 'Wildfire Season', then Season within the Season

June 12, 2012:  The closer number of large wildfires is 23.

Apparently there are about 18 wildfires There are about 23 wildfires currently raging in different part of the United States.
Wildfires means large fires covering square miles [or acres] at a time.
Big ones are:
  • Larimer, Colorado [northernmost part of Colorado].  The High Park Fire.
  • New, Mexico [southernmost part of the state], in/around/near mountain region of Ruidoso, and Sierra Blanca mountain range
A more accurate regional and specific wildfire location and distribution map is directly below:
click on diagram to enlarge

According to ABC News [June 11, 2012], six states have been impacted heavily by wildfires, the 6 states suffering from fires that seem to head the list in the order [refer http://abcnews.go.com/US/wildfires...] they have it, are:

  • Arizona
  • Texas
  • California
  • New Mexico
  • Colorado
  • Georgia

click on diagram for enlarged image

Season within the season explained:
This means, that some wildfires, could rage in some areas year round, which could take away from the notion of a wildfire season occurring only in a part of the year.  Because wildfires are known for usually a higher rate of incidence per unit time, at certain times of the year, there is still wildfire season.  What is brought to the forefront with the year-round season concept, is not to wait until the what used to be historically seasonal cycle, for readiness to prevent and suppress wildfires.  Many things have happened over the course of time impacting a wildfire season, such as climatic changes, warming of geographic regions for different spans of time, and so on.

In geographical order, the 6 states, are in the southeastern portion of the U.S., Georgia; moving westward, Texas, in the south, which is toward the center of the country; moving northward, also near the center, is Colorado; toward the west, but not all the way west of the continental states, and in the south are NM, and Arizona, leaving Colorado is the northern most state effected by wildfires of the magnitude in this discussion; the possible exception, are fires in the northern part of California.

COLORADO WILDFIRE: Frustration & Ugliness: A Fire that Awoke Rip Van Winkle. The Fire is in Progress at the Moment of Writing this Blog

The fire has been named the High Park Fire.

Flames were seen racing uphill, at angles in the direction of the slant of the mountains, at more of an acute angle than the mountains themselves.

Where: Larimer County, Colorado {primarily}
  • Boulder County, Colorado {bordering and adjacent south of Larimer, of concern}
  • Jefferson County, Colorado {bordering and adjacent south of Boulder County, in stories, and of concern}
  • Broomfield, County, Colorado {bordering and adjacent southeast tip of Boulder County, of concern}
  • more specifics: east of Walden, west of Fort Collins

Firefighters need help out there, as in more support, as of earlier this afternoon.
After 6pm EST, some emergency response management say they have all they need.
NOW, just like a fresh fire started, CAUTION, just as easily, another COULD start, adjacent, and exacerbate the current situation; so, in some sense, there can NEVER BE ENOUGH READINESS.

Opinion [:] Once the fire it completely out, then, it can be unanimously, all that they need to work against the fire is in place.  Other angles on containing and CONTROLLING the situation, in terms of contribution of teamwork strategies building, probably could not hurt.

"We can get all the resources we want and need," he [the incident commander] said.
But Colorado's House congressional delegation demanded that the U.S. Forest Service deploy more resources to the fire, which was zero percent contained and forced hundreds of people to abandon their homes.
'New Mexico, Colorado fires burn out of control' [published about 6pmEST/June 11, 2012/AP]

Helicopters with water have arrived from Canada to help.

1 person is 'missing' thus far. [As of June 12, 2012, the missing person has been identified as a 62 year old woman, now deceased]

Door-to-door evacuations were/ are[?] being performed.

Stories have it the fire started Saturday morning {2 days ago}.

The description of the flames on video: bright orange flames, just like an orange colored crayon.  Huge white colored smoke clouds have formed, some looked like just the top part of a mushroom.  On top of some of the white clouds are dark-gray-colored clouds.

The fire DOES NOT seem to be CONTAINED as of yet.  12:45 EST [June 11].

20,000 acres were burnt in 48 hours.

Elements of 'whisping', winds, helping, the flames.  The kind of fire that could have awakened Rip Van Winkle.

What is a successful strategy for containing and putting the fire out?

The last footage seen, was the Colorado fire burning right now, is the kind of scene, fire loves, making due with the situation.  The situation is, it is in mountainous area of Colorado, which is more rural than a densely populated city.

Policies that ADAPT to Times. Hunger for Nuclear Arms and Barbarian Ages. Worldwide Leadership Changes and Decadence.

Times. A summary discussion of times. Noted in the past year, the United States and surely others have undergone events that we never thought possible. The quantity of foreclosures being amongst the highest on the list, of concerns.

The world has witnessed a transition of power, re-blueprinting the face of many parts of the Arab dawliya [Middle East]. Saddam Hussein, no more, Qadhafi, no more, Arafat, no more, to name a few. Rioting and strife has taken place in abundancy. In other places, the economy has been teetering on the brink of non-existence.

Although the internet, computers, iPods, and many hand-held and portable communication and information devices have brought humankind to places technology that were not even conjecture of what the reality of living would include just a decade before, all of us in this world still face one age-old problem.

Hunger.

In parts of the world, hunger is still the same problematic, horrific conditions that it was when televised fund-raising campaigns were performed three decades ago.

Somalia. Sudan. Here in the United States. For those of us that are comfortable, and reside in the big cities with high paying jobs, 'you know', from reading news papers, or an inadvertent drive through a neighborhood while on your way to vacation, that there are hungry persons amongst us. But did 'you know', there are many, many hungry persons, that are overcome with painful pangs of hunger everyday. As in there is a staggering number of under privileged hungry persons at the threshold of starvation, in one of the wealthiest places on earth. A better idea of how these people feel, is if you were deprived suddenly, of all food and water for 5 days, and had to walk around in different weather conditions, asking for food. Finally you found 1 or 2 bites to eat, and it exacerbated the condition of your health, causing sickness and increasing the pain your body is feeling. Imagine living that way for years, 3, 4 years, at only 6, or 7 years old.

Where we are now. Major steps need to be taken to rectify the hunger situation in the United States. The key is, helping others while we fix our own problems AT THE SAME TIME.

Examinations are going to be needed. More than a few of them. Examinations of how to successfully develop food distribution mechanisms while economic challenges are still present.

On the subject of examinations, is examination into and including the prospect of an overhaul of the concept of no food because you have nuclear weapons.

Back 4000 years ago, which even then it was an international outrage, in the age of barbarianism, starving masses of people might have taken place for whatever purposes someone decided was a wisdom, hikmat, размышление [pron. razmyshlenie] words thereabout, or whatever ancient term for some ancient technique that was distorted from its origin and then misused in the throws of greed of human domination.

What is being discussed here, among them, is the situation in Korea. Whether North Korea, or South Korea, does not matter that much. Geopolitical borders may or may not have been the same between them 4000 years ago. What stays the same is the unsightly situation of masses of people going hungry.

4000 years ago, is an extreme, to bring to the forefront the economic-political-armament strategies of 20 years ago, might not be appropriate today, in 2012. When capitalism rifts with communism were thriving 25 years ago, food repression might have seemed logical.

Today, anyone with internet access and some know how, can perform an aerial hover from their computer and see conditions of living that are an embarrassment on the human people altogether.

Times, spoken of at the beginning. We may be witnessing an era in the weeks that are immediately
ahead, in addition to the change of communism amalgam of Russia into 2 sorts, reference countries that now have their autonomy from the U.S.S.R., Berlin Wall down, iron rule of strict Sunni practices nearly all but washed away from many of the Arab dawliya [Middle East countries], Cuba no more communism is a prospect. Does this translate into back to casino days, or decadence far, far beyond that as within the realm of possibility, with or without communism, in the years in the future of Cuba?

The topic, hunger, and the idea of no food if nuclear capabilities are furthered pertaining to U.S. relations with North Korea, is this policy a thing of antiquity? Examining the whole reality of it, throroughly, which means, the policy on the prima facie, on paper, all the way to household to household, person to person living standards, and indispensable, many other dynamics of foreign policy that are going on between Korea and everyone else, with all the gradations of degrees of these in respect to the no food-nuclear capabilities situation.

Examination and prospects of overhaul, include what is going on at the prison system in North Korea. Reportedly, aspects of the prison system there is amongst the world's most severe. This is one of the concerns of, the way people treated each other 4000 years ago. In 2012, the situation needs an examination, such as, into the efficacy of what the treatment in harsh facilities is accomplishing; is it really accomplishing the objectives of 10 years ago, 20 years ago, 100 years ago, 4000 years ago?

It is applauded by some, the invitations and jeong that President Obama has taken on with Korea. What is the hopefully will occur, is that these interfaces with Korea are a step in the process of betterment in regard to how the hungry in Korea are living; and 'some day, hearts may realize', that historic progress in that regard, must be accompanied with historic progress for the betterment of the hunger situation in the United States, which, must be accompanied with historic progress for the hungry in all places of the world; Kenya faces a brunt of hunger, China, and India, still have population amounts that re more than the populations of large cities in this world, of people in hunger conditions disgraceful to mankind.

Why does the no food if nuclear capabilities continues, have angles that seem to 'not make any sense'?
A major portion of the answer is, many of those that are going hungry have a commensurate responsibility which could very well correlate to little to nothing to do with developing nuclear weapons at however many billions in whatever increment of time; so why should they be the ones to go hungry; and, in these times, are the repercussions for citizens going hungry as a punishment for nuclear arms increase, taken in the same views as they were in the past?

This international hunger repair situation is not impossible. If television and wireless internet, GPS technology, and so on, can make its way to every corner of the globe, so can remedying a situation from days far past us.

Concerns about risks if social order of hunger lets up, such as repercussions of empowerment of people that have inclinations to crime and acting irresponsibly--
That is one of the areas where think-tanks come in, realms of social-economic strategies that accomplish both, or the two-fold, which is more respectable food access conditions for those less priveleged and less gifted, while maintaining mitigation of illegal, illicit, criminal activity.

Not to say that everyone on the earth will be the happiest fullest fed person, but, there are balances that are in proportion to the times.

Overview of hunger statistics on country basis
Sudan
WFP [World Food Program] says 4.3 million people [...in 2010...] are in need of food assistance. From 'Number Of Hungry People in Southern Sudan Quadruples'

Brazil
"In Brazil poverty affects more than a quarter of the population - some 44 million people... Hunger is the most extreme manifestation of the huge problem of poverty in Brazil. Few people die of starvation, but there is widespread chronic food insecurity and malnutrition."
[2003]

Somalia
"NAIROBI, Kenya – NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) — A U.N. agency says strong rains have cut the number of hungry people in Somalia by 25 percent, but that an estimated 2 million in the Horn of Africa country still need food aid."Published August 23, 2010/ Associated Press
Read more: http://www.foxnews.com/world/2010/08/23/rains-help-somalias-hungry-million-need-food-aid-agency-says/#ixzz1rkgDoavy

USA
"In 2010, 17.2 million households, 14.5 percent of households (approximately one in seven), were food insecure, the highest number ever recorded in the United States 1"
'Hunger in America: 2012 United States Hunger and Poverty Facts'

"Nine states exhibited statistically significant higher household food insecurity rates than the U.S. national average 2008-2010:1
United States 14.6%
Mississippi 19.4%
Texas 18.8%
Arkansas 18.6%
Alabama 17.3%
Georgia 16.9%
Ohio 16.4%
Florida 16.1%
California 15.9%
North Carolina 15.7%
[1] U.S. Census Bureau. 2009"
http://feedingamerica.org/hunger-in-america/hunger-facts/hunger-and-poverty-statistics.aspx

North Korea
"At an orphanage in Hwangju town, across the provincial border in North Hwanghae province, 11 of 12 children in the clinic were critically malnourished. They looked to be no more than three or four years old, but orphanage staff insisted they were eight, citing severe stunting due to malnutrition."
"The sharp divergence of views [as to the exact hunger statistics in North Korea] is one reason why the U.N.’s emergency relief coordinator will visit this month [October 2011] to assess the situation."

India
"...India with the highest number of hungry people and malnutrition has serious concerns..."
[From a story on, 'India has the highest number of hungry people on earth']
Consensus of the number of starving children in India is exceeds 8 million.

China
Some say the estimate of starvation is about 30 million

Hard hit by hunger
"The FAO report stated that about two thirds of the world's undernourished live in just seven countries -- Bangladesh, China, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia and Pakistan. However, the sub-Saharan Africa accounts for the highest proportion of undernourished people at 30 percent in 2010."

Comment on the balance of the hungry to other extreme:
"The number of overweight people in the world has overtaken the number of malnourished for the first time, with a billion people considered heavier than advised.
While almost one in six of the estimated world population of 6.5 billion is now overweight or obese, about 800 million people do not have enough to eat, an international conference in Australia was told yesterday."

Solutions Before the Imminent :Preventing and Mitigating Animal Attacks in the U.S. as a Whole, Now. On the Frontburner: Mountain Lions, Bears, and Wild Boars in Texas

'Wild boar attacks elderly man in Pendang

Posted on November 27, 2011, Sunday

Read more: http://www.theborneopost.com/2011/11/27/wild-boar-attacks-elderly-man-in-pendang/#ixzz1fCpeaKF5

Lessons:

1 - "An elderly man has been hospitalised due to severe injuries he suffered from an attack by a wild boar behind his house at Kampung Pokok Tai Lama"

Members of the pig/boar family are smart enough to figure out, the elderly are vulnerable to the attacks, and are going to have a tougher time defending themselves, evident of their condition of old-age.

Applying to the 2-4 million wild boars that have been problematic, also known as feral pigs in Texas, Presidio County, and near the Mexican border. [q.v. previous blog post]

A few other things to be aware of; when millions of a certain animal are allowed the opportunity to spread in terms of a population number, certain aspects of the species can develop, such as, they get larger and larger; additionally, as they might have to compete against each other, they might also become fiercer and fiercer.  The ability to hide, and successfully prey on humans, might also develop.

The word feral, is indicative of the situation.  Feral is not really the name of the species, feral is a general word to mean they were once domesticated, then set back out, or returned to the wild.

So, situation that occurred in a place that many Americans do not visit or hear about on the everyday news often, can foreseeably occur right here on American soil.

From the Borneo attack story: "Nordi’s [the victim's] brother Jaafar Said, 37, who lived near his home, said he knew about the incident...[and] “When I tried to chase it out, it attacked me. When I ran, the boar turned around and attacked my brother. I fought it and finally it released my brother and ran into a nearby forest,” he said, describing the animal as huge.

He said the doctor informed him that his brother had suffered internal bleeding in the chest and that he was still unconscious in the emergency ward."

Lessons:

  • there is a forest or habitat not too far off, that the boar ran into, and for all intents and purposes, might be the same kind of environment that it emerged from.
  • internal bleeding was one of the injuries from the boar attack
  • the method of attack and injury, was biting

Where is Pendang, Borneo? The geographic area of the attack, and bear in mind, it is a different place than the U.S., different system, and recognized levels of civil development from their perspective, is in the Malaysia and Indonesia region.

Regarding mountain lions, also large predatory members of what is considered the cat family, including pumas, panthers, et. al.:
A story:

Officials face villagers' wrath over leopard attacks

By IANS,
Lucknow : Furious over continued leopard attacks on humans, villagers near the Katarniaghat forest reserve in Uttar Pradesh's Bahraich district roughed up forest officials and held them captive for several hours, an official said Wednesday.
A team of forest officials, including a deputy ranger, was roughed up by the locals of Azad Nagar village Tuesday after a leopard, which had killed a minor girl Oct 24, grievously mauled a youth Ramu in the village fields.
Accusing forest officials of not taking adequate steps to prevent wild animal attacks on humans, a large number of locals barged inside a forest outpost and manhandled the officials there.
... He confirmed that the same leopard had killed seven-year-old Kavita while she was sleeping outside her house in Sampatpurwa village."
http://twocircles.net/2011nov09/officials_face_villagers_wrath_over_leopard_attacks.html

And:
'Leopard attacks on rise, one more killed
Posted: Sat Oct 29 2011, 01:34 hrs Nagpur:
One more person was killed in a leopard attack in Samudrapur area of Wardha district on Thursday, suspected to have been caused by the same problem animal that has so far killed two persons in the neighbouring Chimur range of Chandrapur district.'
'The leopard was hiding near the electric pump switch...the leopard attacked him and killed him on the spot.'

Lessons:
There can be what they call a 'problem' animal, that for instance, that villagers recognize, even though the animal may be on the endangered species list.
This might be one way a problem animal becomes a problem animal.  It recognizes wildlife officials, and gets on best behavior, when the official leaves, and then the animal sees vulnerable persons, they pounce, then revert back to best behavior and gain protection under no-hunt laws.

When dealing with very large, and/or extremely dangerous animals, the selection criteria, the discernment, when to remove an animal, from being in the prospect of a situation where it can attack humans, has to be decided upon with more careful scrutiny.

The analog is leopards to mountain lions et.al.; there is not much difference between a leopard and the mountain lions, pumas, and so forth, except for what color coat they have on the outside.

Recently in the U.S., as in, in 2011, there have been a number of sightings, and claims of sightings of the mountain lion animal.  Most of the sightings were in the upper Midwest area, such as Wisconsin,  Illinois, and Iowa.  The coat color can be yellowish to blend with the grassy areas, or very dark hue, even up to pitch black, making them equipped night-time predators.  Overall situation close enough, the warnings have come from abroad.

Lastly, where are large concentrations of bears, and where do they travel from and to?
Is it possible, that the seemingly nearly impossible is happening, which is, bears from large concentrated area, where they roam in the wild in numbers of hundreds or thousands, are traveling distances so extreme, such as thousands of miles, it shatters the notion of what the boundaries of a species of bears is respective to a habitat in a specific region.

For example, there are bears in the 'Far East', Bears in Europe, and bears in North America including continental U.S.; this is how we learned about them in terms of species groupings; is the reality that, to an extreme, all the groups are just one large group?

Ensuring a Balanced Future of Immigrants To and From the U.S.-Mexico Border; What are We Going to do About All Those Pigs?

There are two waves of stories unfolding simultaneously, which sheds exposure to the potential status of immigration from and to the border of the United States and Mexico.

Toward the forefront, has been crackdown on Latino immigrants, in southern U.S. towns of Alabama.
If I may, interject a few points; one, Latinos are not the only immigrants, that are making an increased presence in the big cities of Alabama.  Protesting by immigrants in Montgomery, Alabama, a place that houses critical U.S. historical data, has made headline news in recent weeks.  Two, if Latino immigrants are being cracked down, there is a call for commensurate crackdown on cheap labor, and abuse of minors, in context, especially Latino children, and those with not much to defend themselves, that are working in horrid environments that are everything shy of the black market.

There are numerous news stories about 'trafficked' Latino and Mexican women and children, being 'vanned' up and down the U.S., against their will, at the threat of violence, taken and shipped from the advertised occupation of maid, or indoor nurse assistant, under the guise of gambits.

Games on the prima fascia, both sides of the table cloth on the table need to be clean in order to bundle up the entire tablecloth and keep the table clean.

Now to the pigs.  Mexico is planning to exterminate some 50,000 boars, or feral pigs ASAP.  These pigs have evidently, been sneaking into Mexico at night to graze on farmland, then going back to the U.S. side during the day.

"The Ministry of Environment in Chihauha state said some 1,500 hectares (3,700 acres) of farmland in the border town of Ojinaga have been affected by the large number of feral pigs that have come from Presidio County, Texas."

How many of us knew that there even were 50,000 feral pigs in wild, that clustered together, in that region of the U.S.?

Some questions arise, such as, those of us who do not advocate excessive populations of pigs, wouldn't killing these pigs help freshen the air in the area?

On the other hand, the big question is, if and once these pigs are gone, what will take their place, referring to what takes place on those areas of lands and corridors, such as illegal immigration?

What promises and agreements are going to be made, just like promises and agreements need making to balance crackdown on immigration, with mitigation of 'human trafficking', to ensure that another modal, another method of 'approved' trafficking can take place, which facilitates more human trafficking and abuse, does not take place?

In closing, there are probably, and based on experience, rest assured 100% positive, other dimensions to the effects of exterminating 50,000 pigs all at one shot.  For example, how are these pigs going to be exterminated?  Last time thousands of pigs were exterminated, a few years ago that made the news, they were burned, in a distasteful scene.  The cloud that resulted had some impact on the environment.  From a purely environmental air quality standpoint, if you burn that many pigs at one time, in conjunction that the air over Mexico in the city center is viewed by some as could improve in reduction in pollution levels, and, that these pigs area species that there has not been a great deal of experience slaughtering in mass levels, concerns are what kind of chemical mixtures are going to be in the atmosphere, air which can be immediately breathed by humans?  Some of these answers are unknown, until it is done.  This is not an area for experimentation.  This is not a save the pigs campaign.  This is an alert that certain amount of common sense and science know-how needs to coalesce and be integrated into the decision that might be about to happen.

The Ministry of Environment of Mexico being the authority who they are, not to step-out-of-line, but what say has the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency had in all this?  Not to stump the efforts of Mexico to keep their farms clean, it is that there are experienced officials in the EPA that might be able to point out factors and elements of the process and impact of what they are about to do, which could help benefit and prevent disastrous outcomes that effect both Mexico and the United States.

Supplemental background, added November 21, 2011.

As we speak, there are at least 2 methodologies in place that are being used by the U.S., markedly the State of Texas, to 'mitigate' the feral pig population.  One is the use of helicopters, and shoot at the pigs.  It is not an inexpensive operation, as one provider requisites a few hundred dollars just for the safety course, and over $400 an hour to use the helicopters for the shoot.  This also gives an idea, how much havoc the feral pigs are rendering on lands not just in Mexico, but also in the U.S., the monetary toll is huge.
There are other methods, such as the use of dogs, for control, moving the pigs away from valued areas.

Just as a matter of biological knowledge, the size of the boars, can be as large and heavy as a cow, small horse, or bear, in the ranges of 900 pounds plus.  Nevermind extreme cases, where you have the prized head of the community, that would not be shocking to find a male boar in excess of over 1000 pounds.  These animals are not to be taken as light contenders.

Another dynamic to the situation, is that there is reputed to be 2 million, or more pigs in the area; the 50,000 spoken of by Mexico, is just a fraction, of a growing population.
